Work smarter, not harder! How, you ask, with all of the added demands and expectations of differentiation that the educational world is now placing upon teachers? In this article, I offer one simple solution to help educators work smarter with the time that they have: open-ended question asking. The open-ended question format is a natural answer for how to differentiate in the classroom! Instead of giving students the question all the time, give them the answer and have them become the teacher! I use this type of question in several ways. Sometimes it is a part of my launch for a workshop session, other times it is a part of the partner work that I expect my students to complete, and yet other times I use this type of question as an "exit" ticket for an informal formative assessment check.
Let us explore the benefits of using worksheets for Nursery to Grade 2 learners. Innovative worksheets for kids created by educationists can be used to teach Maths, English and EVS to make the foundational concepts easy and intriguing in an enjoyable format. Rewards in the form of stickers can be given on completion of worksheets to the young learners. These rewards have the potential to keep them motivated and boost their confidence. Worksheets give the added advantage of transforming into colouring worksheets where kids can express their creativity while playing with colours.
And that is where speech therapy worksheets can come in handy. Parents will need some kind of "syllabus" to follow. They will need some kind of guidebook that will help them formulate lesson plans and coordinate games and activities for their child. Plus they will need a way to track, monitor, and gauge their child has progress in terms of speech development. Tracking your progress is one way to measure the success of any speech therapy program be they in an office with a professional or at home between parent and child. This way you can ensure that you are covering all necessary bases to ensure your child is receiving the proper focus and attention he or she requires. Speech therapy worksheets designed for home use by parents are the way to go.
