Today, computer classes are included in the school curriculum; kids have to be good in their typing skills. Typing is an art and is encouraged to build talent among kids. In fact, there is no official training to teach kids on typing. Parents can guide them with a keyboard, let them understand the use of keyboard and learn how to type with a keyboard. There is no doubt that kids can learn new things faster through games. Typing games for kids are direct ways to make them know how to type.
Children need to be given lots of opportunity to write. The first word most kids will want to write is their own name. Parents can help by providing a good handwriting model for children to trace over at first, then later to copy. One way is to write the child has name using a light color then the child can trace over it with a darker color. Dotted letters are very effective for handwriting practice too. You can buy handwriting practice books but they will not be personalized for your child so you may want to consider getting a dotted font for your computer. Make sure you get the same style as your child is using at school to avoid making handwriting more complicated for them! It is easy to install a font on your computer and then you will be able to create name cards or type out a little story your child tells you. Once printed out the child can trace over the dotted letters.
A systematic set of mathematics worksheets will help you teach your child the basic principles of math and help them prepare for school. Worksheets can be used as the basis for counting and adding games and other activities. Teaching your child with worksheets also makes them more comfortable with doing worksheets - which will help them when they get to kindergarten and school, where worksheets are used every day.
