If adults hate math, then you can just imagine the experiences of kids who are still being introduced to its concepts. The question then is: Why do kids hate math? Keep in mind that the disdain for the subject often starts in childhood. First, math is not something that can be done on a passive and impulsive manner such as learning the English language in an environment where it is the first language. Though the students always remain in an education friendly environment at schools, time taken by individuals for becoming skilled at new concepts & things vary from one student to another. The only way out to learn things in a quick time duration is thorough practicing of newly learned concepts. Do you plan summer outings to nature centers or parks? Take this opportunity to learn about trees or plants. Otherwise, consider having your child help you plant a garden. Get some basic books from the library to help your child understand the basics and get them a little gardening gear for fun. Have them keep a little journal over the summer about what they have learned about each activity. Have them draw pictures or make leaf prints. You can even have them store leaf specimens in little baggies that you can staple to the journal pages. Have them journal about vacations too. With just a little planning, it is easy to incorporate learning into nearly any activity.

You will get templates of all kinds for your worksheet. Choose the one you want and then download.
